The stories of love between Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal (real name was Arjumand Banu) have been inspiration for many but the truth is that there was never a bit of love between the two. Shah Jahan killed Mumtaz’s Hindu husband to marry her and make her his fourth of the seven wives. Mumtaz died while delivering her 14th child and was asked to accompany Shah Jahan even when she was not keeping well. The best part is that Shah Jahan married Mumtaz’s sister after she died.
